Network Specialist

Working as a Network Specialist you will:

  • Manage, continuously monitor, and resolve issues within IP networks.

  • Oversee and maintain the structural cabling system.

  • Execute physical and logical network configurations, including device installation, removal, and managing cabling connections.

  • Deliver second-tier technical support to internal system and network users.

  • Draft, update, and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

  • Recommend infrastructure enhancements, network upgrades, and structural changes to optimize performance.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of professional IT experience in a similar network-focused role.

  • Language proficiency: English at B2 level and Polish at C1 level.

  • Active Cisco CCNA certification or an internationally recognized equivalent.

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols, IP routing, and Ethernet switching protocols.

  • Knowledge of core network services (e.g., DNS, DHCP, NTP) and wired/wireless access technologies like Wi-Fi and 802.1x/EAP.

  • Familiarity with application-layer authentication and encryption mechanisms, including HTTPS/SSL/TLS, PKI, and X.509 certificates.

  • Practical background in administering a large enterprise network and configuring endpoint operating systems like Windows, Linux, and iOS.

  • Experience implementing stateful and stateless traffic filtering.

  • Hands-on expertise in configuring and troubleshooting network-level encryption (IPsec, IKE, DMVPN).

  • Practical experience managing Palo Alto next-generation firewalls (including the Panorama system), Infoblox DDI, and Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches.

  • Hands-on ability to administer Secunet SINAbox encryptors.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills combined with a tactful, cooperative, and detail-oriented attitude.

  • Capability to work efficiently in a stressful environment with minimal supervision while maintaining a proactive team spirit.

  • Willingness to travel within Europe up to 15 times per year.

  • Active Category B driving license and the ability to drive rented vehicles internationally.
